We ended up with roughly 40 works in 31 fandoms. I say roughly because I know there are a handful of fandoms waiting to be canonized. Thank you everyone who participated.

On a side note, I'm on the fence about bringing this back next year. It's still a little too small to easily find pinch hitters for what is at it's heart a small fandom exchange and I always end up stressing myself out at the end of the summer (and this summer has been stressful for rl reasons). There's also so much competition these days. If I do run it next year, I will probably open it up to all children's media (books, movies, tv, etc.) in the hopes of reaching a larger crowd. If I don't, it's just because the stress outweighs the joys.

Apologies for the late announcement but my internet went down last night.

The Exchange will not open until everyone has a story. Please take another look at the pinch hits still outstanding in the previous post and share them with your friends. At the moment, I'm looking at opening tomorrow night which would give pinch hitters at least 24 hours from this post to get their stories in.

Fic Corner Tag Set.

Requests

You must request at least three fandoms, and can request up to ten. You may request between 0 (any) and 10 characters. The exchange is set up to match ANY, not ALL to increase odds of matching. You may not be matched on ALL the characters you request.

By requesting Any, a participant is requesting Any characters on the fandom's nomination list. Do not be that person who requests Any in Fandom F, but writes about specifically wanting Character Z from Fandom F who wasn't nominated.

You may also request Any if you want fics focused on worldbuilding instead of a specific character(s).

Prompt URL: If you want to leave a Dear Fic Corner Scribbler letter for your writer, this is the place to do so.

Description: Optional details are optional, however, if you want to give your writer ideas, this is the place to do it, whether you write a letter or not.

Offers

You must offer a minimum of 3 fandoms, maximum of 10. You may offer up to 10 characters or offer Any.

The bucket list is enabled, so you can offer more than 10 fandoms, but any fandoms in the bucket list default to ANY characters. More information about making a bucketlist offer (including a lovely diagram) can be found in the Yuletide sign-up instructions.

Don't forget to request/offer fandoms you want. If you're lukewarm about a fandom, don't request it or offer it. Chances are this will be the fandom you receive/are assigned.

Once at least five people have signed up, you'll may be able to keep track of current request/offer numbers via the signup summary. However, recently the summary has had issues loading. Try loading it in a browser where you aren't logged in, or in incognito mode, for better results

Nominations are now closed. Signups will open on Sunday night EDT, around this time.

Please check over the tagset and note any necessary corrections here. Issues with what category a fandom falls into are generally tied to AO3 wrangling and cannot be fixed, so it's unnecessary to tell me that Harry Potter is showing up under Movies. When in doubt, remember that this is a book exchange and disregard the categories.

The Character Bonus Round is now open and will run until sign-ups open.

Character Bonus Round
As we did in the past, you may comment here with one character who is not currently in the tag set that you would like added to a fandom that is already in the tagset. This has the dual purpose of getting people to look at the tag set for errors and filling in gaps that might encourage people to write for/request your beloved fandom of childhood.

The character must belong to a fandom that has been nominated and accepted.

Comments must include the name of the fandom and the character

The character does not need to be from a fandom YOU nominated. Any accepted fandom is eligible.

The Mod has no way of knowing who nominated what or whether you nominated at all. If you're reading this you may participate.
You may request ONE character. Two is too many. Zero is fine, but don't bother commenting as that will just clutter the post.

Please check the tag set before you request. Don't waste your time on a character who has already been added.

Characters may not be added right away. I have plans for this evening, which mostly involve sleeping. You will receive a reply when they have been added, or if they were rejected for some reason.

Characters must be requested and added before vetting closes and sign-ups open. I will not be altering the tag-set after sign-ups open. You will get fair warning when this happens.
