Additional prompt for pinch hit 10
Sep. 5th, 2014 12:13 pmMoontyger has kindly provided me with another prompt as no one was offering for the fandoms in question. Again, I will assign this to the first person that offers and the fic should be completed asap, because I will not be opening the collection until everyone has a fic. Please pm or email the exchange account at fic.corner@gmail.com
Dark Is Rising Sequence – Susan Cooper
Will Stanton
I'm always really fascinated by future fic for these books and would love to see what you could come up with! Some things to consider: if Will is the Watchman, what is he watching for? Was this really the last rising of the Dark? How does the forgetting work for the others – do they have substitute memories or just odd gaps? If it's gaps, do they notice? Either way, how does it affect their relationships with Will? (I've enjoyed future ship fic before and would again (I'm a big fan of Will/Bran), but I'm also totally fine with gen.)
How does Will handle growing up when he's really far older than he looks? Especially high school – what is it like to be an Old One, but with a teenager's hormones? Does he follow Merriman's example and become a professor? Does he ever use magic again and if so, how or why? As you've probably gathered from these questions, I'm especially interested in something exploring what it's like to be magical in a world that mostly isn't anymore, but don't feel limited by that.
