The Exchange at Fic Corner

Apologies for the late announcement but my internet went down last night.

The Exchange will not open until everyone has a story. Please take another look at the pinch hits still outstanding in the previous post and share them with your friends. At the moment, I'm looking at opening tomorrow night which would give pinch hitters at least 24 hours from this post to get their stories in.

We're down to >10 fics outstanding. I've had a couple of requests for extensions, so I'm going to extend the deadline 12 hours to 10am EDT tomorrow because it's been one of those days. Expect a small batch of pinch hits shortly after that.

The pinch hit below will be due August 31st.

Please claim pinch hits with your AO3 User Name and the pinch hit number either by comment (all comments are screened), email (fic.corner@gmail.com) or DM. Please note that you will need to be logged in to see a reply to a screened comment.

I was going to do a 24 hour post, but I'm sleepy so you're getting it 1/2 hour early. There will be a few pinch hits going out right after deadline.

I've got three pinch hits to send out tomorrow morning which will have a due date of the evening of 25 August. Assume sometime after 11pm EDT but I can't be exact as I'll be traveling. I'm also still looking for a pinch hitter for pinch hit. There are also still some writers who requested an extension, so if you don't have a story and your prompts don't go out tomorrow morning, don't worry.

Feel free to edit your stories between now and reveals on 28 August. Or write treats for any prompt that catches your eye.

Have you written? Are you writing? You've got about 2.5 days to go till deadline. If you don't think you'll make it, I'd appreciate it if you defaulted soon so that I can find someone else to write for your recipient.

Due to the rapidly approaching deadline, if these haven't been claimed by lunchtime (assume approximately a 3 hour window), I'll be posting them here and probably on the yuletide comm. Deadline for these pinch hits will be the same as for assignments. Any pinch hits that come up later in the weekend may have a later due date.

One other bit of housekeeping...since the exchange is so small this year, I'm not going to bother opening a separate collection for treats. Please post any treats in the main collection.

I've got two pinch hits which I will send out in the morning. There are also a few people who requested and were granted extensions. The archive will open on the 7th or possibly earlier if a) everyone has a story and b) I'm not afk. I've got some day trips planned for next weekend, so don't count on the archive being opened early.

We currently have 50 fics in 81 fandoms. ♥ Feel free to add treats over 1000 words to the main collection or treats of any sort to the treat collection.

25 Hour warning. What time is that for me?. We've currently got 34 works in 63 fandoms posted, so we're looking good.

Any assignments still outstanding at the deadline will be considered defaults, unless the author has asked for and been granted an extension.

Pinch hits will go out first thing in the morning. Including two unclaimed pinch hits and one which was defaulted on earlier today, there are less than 10.

ETA: Treat fics under the 1000 word mark can go in the Fic Corner Treats collection, Treat fics over 1000 words can go in either collection (both collections will remain open for treats until 1/2 hour before the collections go live).
