Well, it wouldn't be fic corner if I weren't late at something. Like announcing that there would be a Fic Corner this year. :D Everything's shifted a little late because of the late start and you'll have a little less time to write, but here we go. (cue music)

Two things to note this year:
1. Prompts will be visible from the start of sign-ups
2. We need to grow a little from last year for me to consider running this in 2020. It's very difficult to run a multi-fandom exchange with 25 people and get everyone matched.

The Exchange at Fic Corner 2019 Schedule
June 17th - Brainstorming Post will open; Any Changes to Eligibilty Rules will be posted (none this year).
June 20th - June 27th - Nominations
June 28th - June 30th - Bonus Round
June 30th - July 7th - Sign-Ups
July 8th or 9th - Assignments Sent Out
August 31st - Deadline for Stories
September 7th - Collection Goes Live

For anyone who hasn't done this before, Bonus Round is the period where I catch mistakes in the tagset and allow people to add 1 extra character to a nominated fandom.

Go forth and brainstorm in the comments.

Got a favo(u)rite kids or YA book or series or story you want other people to write for or request? Want to know if you're "the only one" who ever read that one particular book or who loves that certain character?

The Exchange at Fic Corner 2018 Schedule
May 28th - Brainstorming Post will open; Any Changes to Eligibilty Rules will be posted (none this year).
June 1st - June 9th - Nominations
June 9th - June 10th - Vetting
June 11th - June 18th - Sign-Ups
June 18th - Assignments Sent Out
July 4th - Prompts Made Visible for Treating
August 26th - Deadline for Stories
September 1st - Collection Goes Live

Starting things a little earlier this year, because I'll be away the last weekend in June.

There will be no changes to the eligibility rules this year, so go ahead and poke at the FAQ and start thinking about what you want to nominate. Note that the dates on that post still reflect 2017 and won't be updated till next Sunday.

As last year proved there was still an interest in crossposts, I'm going to go back to doing that. Please link this post wherever you think there might be interest. We were very small last year and I'm worried that if we get any smaller this exchange may not be sustainable.

The Exchange at Fic Corner 2017 Schedule

June 18th - June 27th - Sign-Ups

August 21st - Deadline for Stories
August 28th - Collection Goes Live
While I was hoping to shift the schedule to Memorial Day (last Monday in May) to Labor Day (first Monday in September), I'm late getting started this year. I've also moved sending out assignments earlier as I can't guarantee I'll have time to deal with issues the last weekend of June.

Go forth and brainstorm in the comments.

Fic corner will be running again this year. However I've been ill, so don't expect a schedule till next weekend. I'll also be shifting the assignments either a week forward or a week back, as I'll be away the last weekend in June.

The Exchange at Fic Corner 2014 Schedule
April 1st - Comm Wakeup call
May 11th - Brainstorming Post will open; Any Changes to Eligibilty Rules will be posted (I don't expect many).
May 26th - June 7th - Nominations
June 8th - June 14th - Vetting
June 15th - 25th - Sign-Ups
June 27th - Assignments Sent Out
September 1st - Deadline for Stories
September 6th - Collection Goes Live

As you may know, last year towards the end of the exchange I was tapped to run Yuletide. The shift in dates means that they won't collide the way they did last year. Observant participants will note that the dates now run Memorial Day (last Monday in May) to Labor Day (first Monday in September) - I've tied them more closely to the school schedule in my area and here they should remain. Assignments go out the last week of school and are now due the first week of school where I live. ;)

Got a favo(u)rite kids or YA book or series or story you want other people to write for or request? Want to know if you're "the only one" who ever read that one particular book or who loves that certain character?

The proper brainstorming post will open in a month, but feel free to go forth in the comments and pimp your favo(u)rites.
