Three things about the collection

fic_cornerFirst, it seems we've been hit by the AO3 disappearing fics bug. This is NOT a problem with the fics, but with the indexing, and it's something to keep in mind.
There's one fic where I'm waiting on a response from that fandom's wranglers before canonizing it. As a result it cannot be found via the fandoms index page, though it's visible when browsing all the fics. The fandom is The Magicians of Caprona by Diana Wynne Jones and the fic can be found here.
And last, I was so excited that that last pinch hit had come in that I didn't notice thatanother two other fic had not been posted. I've initiated contact with the assigned author, but if anyone wants to write treats (or claim it as a pinch hit), the prompts are below.

Magids Series - Diana Wynne Jones

I always thought that, had DWJ had more time, she would have gone back to the Magids series and tell the story of Nick Mallory's Dangerous Sixteenth Birthday. He's a magical heir (complete with affinity for animals!) who unlike everyone else in the series has no place of his own. I also always thought that we also would have found out what Maree is doing, as she's also a magical heir who gave it up to be a Magid. I would have loved to see what they did later on. So here's my chance to ask that!
Some ideas to get you started:
1) Maree meets Roddy. They get along famously, to Nick's growing dismay.
2) One of the Mallorys gets abducted as part of ousting Rob and the other really is not impressed.
3) Some dealing with the long-term fallout about Aunt Janine basically being abusive to both Maree and Nick in different ways.
4) Nick goes to see Maree while she's studying to be a Magid. Hilarity ensues.
5) Nick and Maree go to a convention. Hilarity ensues.
You don’t have to write all of them or any of them! (In fact, I'm not sure how you could fit them all in other than Maree and Nick's Fabulous Road Trip! ...though if you wanted to write a roadtrip that would be amazing!). They’re just to give you inspiration.

Old Kingdom - Garth Nix

Sam and Sabriel, for all that they love one another, desperately needed to talk to one another at some point about ... well, just about anything.
Some ideas to get you started:
1) Sam and Sabriel go on some kind of quest together and both of their skills are useful in different ways.
2) Sabriel tries to understand what it is that Sam actually does.
3) Sam helps out with keeping the Dead down with his mother, but in his own way.
4) Sam, Sabriel and Lirael Do Things together.
You don’t have to write all of them or any of them! (But if you managed to fit all of them in I would die of joy). They’re just to give you inspiration.

Young Avengers

Billy Kaplan, Kate Bishop
One of the things I’ve found really interesting about the new run is how close Billy and Kate seem to be. Every time that Billy gets some bad news, Kate’s either watching him to gauge his reaction, or touching him to comfort him after something traumatic happens or if he just needs it. It’s really interesting! And so I’d really love a story that focuses on Kate and Billy and their friendship.
Some ideas to get you started:
1) An examination of Cassie’s death and what it means for them.
2) So both Billy and Kate have been involved in Relationship Dramas. Do they commiserate about it afterward?;
3) Billy’s amazing therapy adventures post series (because seriously.);
4) Billy goes to see Kate in LA while she’s finding herself (wherever Hawkeye fits in with YA continuity);
5) What do they do when they’re not superheroing it up?
You don’t have to write all of them or any of them! (But if you managed to fit all of them in I would die of joy). They’re just to give you inspiration.

Young Wizards - Diane Duane

Ronan Nolan, Machu Picchu | Winged Defender
I find this co-existence really interesting and desperately want more (read: any) fic that deals with the nine month period between A Wizard Abroad and Wizards at War and how these two worked together, even uneasily.
Some ideas to get you started:
1) What did they even do during this period? Ronan tells us that they did nothing that would cause them to stand out, but what did they actually do? How did everyone else take this decision?
2) How did they navigate the whole sharing a body thing? Were there other things they had to learn about one another before they could even start working together?
3) If you're not interested in this period but want the aftermath of Wizards at War - what was the aftermath for Ronan during this period?
4) In AWAb Ronan remembers parts of the One's Champion's life - does this information process continue while he's an avatar? Does he still retain this information afterward and does he use it?

Raven Cycle - Maggie Stiefvater
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Ronan Lynch, Noah Czerny, Adam Parrish
What I really enjoy about this series is the co-existence of the downright unsettling with the mundane, and I'd really love something that explores the whole supernatural intruding on their daily lives and how they work around it. I chose these three pretty much to maximise the creepy mundane, but feel free to put in Blue or Gansey as well! I just really like the intersection of Weird Things and Normal things.
Some ideas:
1) Noah actually gets something not terrible happen to him! I don't know what, his entire life is pretty dreadful, but SOMETHING.
2) What is the effect of these guys getting sick on their powers? I am totally down with this getting unsettling or creepy.
3) Some fallout about Kavinsky's death! Given that he was Ronan's dark mirror and all, I'm interested.
4) What does an ordinary day look like for them? Or a not so ordinary day, for that matter?
5) Really, I just want anything that juxtaposes the supernatural with the ordinary.
I don't really ship these guys together, though I definitely buy a one-sided crush on Ronan's part towards Adam.

Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, Minerva McGonagall, Portrait Albus Dumbledore
Harry Potter is probably my main fandom, and I can never get enough, so I know I'll love anything you write. I absolutely adore all the characters I selected. In terms of ships, Harry/Hermione is my OTP and I heart Luna/Neville, but I also love the trio as an OT3 and all forms of femmeslash. Of course, gen is totally and completely awesome as well! The only things I wouldn't want are Ron/Hermione or Harry/Ginny.
In terms of prompts, there are so many options. I love missing moments or adventures from when they were at Hogwarts. I love all kinds of Deathly Hallows or post-DH fic. A fic set post-DH with Harry talking to Portrait Dumbles would be all kinds of awesome. Or maybe some new adventure where they need advice from him.
For HP, any genre is seriously okay. I love angst, hurt/comfort, dark!fic, romance, adventure, humor, whatever you want. Also, feel free to include any characters not nominated or selected if you want and they fit the story. I prefer those above as main characters, but I'm cool with other people being mentioned/having small roles if that's the direction you want to go.

The Heroes of Olympus - Rick Riordan

Annabeth Chase, Piper McLean (Heroes of Olympus), Percy Jackson (Heroes of Olympus), Leo Valdez (Heroes of Olympus), Jason Grace (Heroes of Olympus), Frank Zhang (Heroes of Olympus), Hazel Levesque (Heroes of Olympus), Nico di Angelo (Heroes of Olympus)
I love this series so incredibly much! I love all the group dynamics, and I especially love fics (and chapters of the book) where people who aren't commonly together have to work together — like Percy & Piper or Frank & Annabeth. I think seeing their interactions and how each person's powers balances the other's makes it fun.
I've read all the books, so I'm good with fic from all time periods — from before The Lost Hero to post-House of Hades. It'd be fun to see them dealing with the repercussions of HoH. Like Annabeth discussing it with Piper or Percy confiding in Leo. Or Annabeth/Percy trying to learn to live in the real world again. Or if you want to do pre/early-series, fic that shows what Camp Half-Blood was up to during the time of Son of Neptune would be nice, since there was so much we didn't see. Or fic from Nico's POV and what he was doing for a lot of these books would also be cool, since he has a much different perspective than anyone else.
I like all the canon pairs for this. I also like gen. I always love femmeslash. And again, if there is another character who you'd like to include, feel free. I pretty much love everyone!

Divergent Series - Veronica Roth

So for this, I'll say right now I'm in the middle of reading Insurgent but I plan to be done with all 3 books long before fics are revealed, so feel free to include spoilers/write it for any time period. But because I'm not finished with them all, it's a little harder to give ideas of things I might want for the later books.
I will say it would be fun to see some of the events of the books told from a different perspective, either Four or Tori or Christina. I'd love to know more about Christina and Tori's lives pre-Divergent. Four, too, but I think there is more of his in the books (right?).
Again, feel free to include other characters. And as far as shipping, mix and match however you want. I'd be fine with anything really!

Ramona Series - Beverly Cleary

So unlike the three above, this is my actual childhood request. The other three are more current fandoms, but the Ramona books were what I grew up reading and fell in love with.
I would love to see a through-the-years type thing, or fic set after the books, just to see what happened to these characters. The relationship between the sisters is especially curious to me. Do they get along? Are they close? Did someone have a falling out? Or maybe you want to explore big moments in their lives — first kiss, prom, college, marriage, etc.
You can take it wherever you want — it can be sweet and happy and everyone lives (mostly) happily ever after or if you want to go darker, that's cool too. Life isn't all puppies and rainbows so fic most definitely doesn't need to be either!

Where the Wild Things Are - Maurice Sendak

I read this book all the time as a kid, and now I read it to my nephew. I could see fic for this going two ways — one set at the time of the book and either another separate adventure or more detail into the first one. What else was there that we didn't see?
Or I could see a future fic. What if Max as an older teen/adult/whatever traveled back into this world again. Would it be the same? What is there this time, after your life experiences as a teen/adult?
Or you could also do a fic where Max finds out his mom also had these crazy adventures.
This is kind of just a cute, fun book, so I'm thinking fic would be along those lines, but it sure doesn't have to be. So feel free to take it wherever you want!
